Suren Persian Cuisine is an absolute gem in Vancouver! The food was beyond delicious, and the Torsh Chicken Kabab was easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at any Persian restaurant in the city. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced—every bite was a delight. Beyond the amazing food, the service was outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the waitress made us feel incredibly comfortable and welcomed. She patiently helped us choose the perfect dishes and had the warmest smile throughout the entire experience. It’s people like her who make a restaurant truly special and keep customers coming back. If you’re looking for high-quality Persian cuisine with a great atmosphere and exceptional service, I highly recommend Suren Persian Cuisine. Give it a try—you won’t be disappointed!

Restaurant is clean and probably has good ventilation system, no cooking-smell in dinning area! (I understand smokey maybe a signature to many BBQ places, but I wouldn't want myself smell like BBQ after nice sitting down dine out) servers are friendly and patient. Kebab is perfectly bbqed and not burnt. Easy parking.

Fairly bright and airy shop in Burnaby serving Persian cuisine. Not busy when we visited for lunch in Aug 2024 Ordered the lentils and lamb rice ($21). The rice is quite good and flavourful with tender lamb morsels in it. Also ordered the barberry chicken rice ($17) which came with some crispy fries. I thought the rice looked very colourful but not a lot of flavour to it even despite the barberries. We also asked for an order of half steamed veggies which helped us get some veggies in our meal. We also tried their eggplant dip ($12) which was served with some hearty bread. The dip was quite good. Lots of food... we had plenty of leftovers. Update February 2025: Returned for lunch visit on the weekend and the place was fairly empty (and cold). Ordered the Torsh Kabab ($30) which is a lamb skewer with marinated pomegranate walnut paste. Also ordered the Gheimeh Stew ($17) which comes with split peas, beef cubes, and tart dried limes. The dish also comes with crispy fries which are best on the side. fried lime tart. We ordered the Eggplant Dip ($12) again because we enjoyed it the last time we were here. They also brought us out some complimentary chicken and mushroom cream soup to start.

Finally had a chance to come by here to give this neighbourhood Persian restaurant a try. They have different daily 2 for 1 specials through the weekdays now. Today (Monday) they have the koobideh kebab w/rice dish as their special so we decided to give that a try. For $19 for 2, it's an amazing deal! The portions were very generous especially at that price too. Everything tasted great and the service was good as well. The restaurant itself was nice and bright inside. I will certainly be back to give the other dishes a try.

The server was very friendly and polite! She welcomed us with a warm greeting, which was the second thing that caught my attention after the restaurant’s unique design. It had a very friendly atmosphere and a nicely designed interior! The chicken kebab tasted a bit different from the traditional version, but it was very soft and juicy. The steak kebab was uneven—half of it was soft, while the other half was tough. We liked the Koobideh the most; it was soft, well-cooked, and juicy! Overall, the food was good. I would definitely go there again and I recommend it!

This dish is a traditional Iranian New Year (Nowruz) meal, symbolizing renewal and prosperity. The combination of fragrant sabzi polo (herbed rice) and perfectly cooked fish is a classic way to celebrate the occasion. We really enjoyed it—it was absolutely awesome! We’ll definitely be coming back to this place. Highly recommended!
